Australian prices for the Thrive Health Band and for Garmin models that were available to buy on 13 Oct 2026, with and without Garmin Connect+.
Thrive is a screenless band, the Thrive by Optihealth app and a web portal, sold together. Garmin sells watches. Garmin says the existing Garmin Connect features and your data stay free, and that Connect+ is an optional plan for extra insights.
Garmin's range is wider than the two models below. This page includes only listings that were available in Australia on the day we checked. The notes follow sleep, recovery, midlife health and habit insight. Garmin's sentences stay Garmin's.

| Garmin Venu 3, plus annual Connect+ | A$869 | A$989 |
| Thrive, then the annual plan | A$660 | A$900 |
| Thrive, then A$29 a month | A$660 | A$1,008 |
| Thrive Complete, 24 months upfront | Not this option | A$800 |
On 13 Oct 2026, JB Hi-Fi listed Garmin Lily 2, Cream Gold with a Coconut silicone band, at A$429, and Garmin Venu 3, Black/Slate, at A$749. Both were available for delivery and click and collect. Garmin vĂvosmart 5 was listed and was not available, so it is not in the table.
Garmin's Australia blog says Connect+ is A$12 a month or A$120 a year after a 30-day trial, and that existing Connect features and data remain free. The with-Connect+ 12-month totals add A$120: Lily 2 becomes A$549, and Venu 3 becomes A$869. The 24-month totals add A$240: A$669 and A$989. Paying A$12 a month would be A$144 over a year, which is higher than the annual plan. The table uses the published annual price.
Thrive's 12-month total is A$660 upfront for the band and 12 months of the plan. The band is never sold on its own. You keep it. That purchase does not renew automatically.
For 24 months with Thrive, keep the band and add the next year of the plan. A$240 for the year (A$20 a month) makes A$900. Or pay A$29 a month with no lock-in. Twelve months at that rate is A$348, so the 24-month total is A$1,008. The monthly plan bills each month until you cancel.
There is also Thrive Complete at A$800 upfront for the band and 24 months of connected access. That is a separate checkout option, not the A$660 price plus a renewal.
Thrive prices include GST. Free Australia-wide shipping (usually A$14.99) under the current launch offer.
This is a use comparison, not a score. Both Garmin models we checked are watches with a display. Thrive is a health band without a screen.
| Use | Thrive Health Band | Garmin, as the listings described it |
|---|---|---|
| Sleep | No screen. Sleep duration and stages are in the Thrive by Optihealth app. Battery is up to 14 days, which suits wearing the band through the night without charging every evening. | Garmin says Lily 2 tracks sleep and shows a sleep score, with up to 5 days of battery, and that the display is hidden behind a patterned lens until you tap. Garmin says Venu 3 includes sleep in a morning report, with up to 14 days in smartwatch mode. Both have a screen. |
| Recovery | Recovery insights include an estimated time to get back to baseline, read against your own usual rather than a population chart. | Garmin says Lily 2 includes Body Battery energy monitoring. Garmin says Venu 3 shows workout benefit and recovery time, in Garmin's words how much time you need to recover. Those are Garmin's descriptions of Garmin's features. |
| Midlife health | The band is one place for sleep and heart trends plus blood tests, medical history, medications and supplements, and meals through Food Fit. Blood-pressure outputs are estimates about every 10 minutes. They need calibration, recalibration is recommended every 21 days, and they are not a diagnosis. | Garmin says both models can track menstrual cycle or pregnancy. The listings we checked did not describe storing blood tests, a medication list or a medical history on the watch. Garmin says the figures are a close estimation, and that Venu 3 is not a medical device for diagnosis. |
| Habit insight | Ask Thrive uses the readings and what you record, including meals. Thrive does not sync to Apple Health. | Garmin says Connect is where you see health and fitness information, and that Connect+ adds personalised insights Garmin calls Active Intelligence. Garmin says the free Connect experience remains. Thrive does not sync to Apple Health. |
| Water and after you buy | IP68, and also rated 5 ATM. You keep the band. Connected access after 12 months is A$240 a year (A$20 a month) or A$29 a month with no lock-in. | JB Hi-Fi lists 5 ATM for the Lily 2 and Venu 3 colours we checked. You keep the watch. Connect+ is optional on top of the free Connect features Garmin describes. |

Thrive supports general health and wellbeing. Blood-pressure outputs are estimates and trends, not a diagnosis. They are taken about every 10 minutes while you wear the band, they need calibration before they begin, and recalibration is recommended every 21 days. Ask Thrive identifies patterns and associations, not proven causes, and does not replace professional care.
