Australian prices for the Thrive Health Band and for Fitbit models that were available to buy on 13 Oct 2026, with and without Google Health Premium.
Thrive is a screenless band, the Thrive by Optihealth app and a web portal, sold together. Fitbit trackers are sold as devices. Google says some coaching and health features need Google Health Premium, and that the Fitbit app is now the Google Health app.
The notes below follow use: sleep, recovery, midlife health and habit insight. Where a sentence is Fitbit's or Google's, it says so.

| Option sold in Australia | 12 months | 24 months |
|---|---|---|
| Fitbit Inspire 3, device only | A$178 | A$178 |
| Fitbit Inspire 3, plus annual Premium, assuming membership paid each year at today's price | A$327.99 | A$477.98 |
| Google Fitbit Air, device only | A$199 | A$199 |
| Google Fitbit Air, plus annual Premium, assuming membership paid each year at today's price | A$348.99 | A$498.98 |
| Thrive, then the annual plan | A$660 | A$900 |
| Thrive, then A$29 a month | A$660 | A$1,008 |
| Thrive Complete, 24 months upfront | Not this option | A$800 |
On 13 Oct 2026, JB Hi-Fi listed Fitbit Inspire 3, Midnight Zen/Black, at A$178, and Google Fitbit Air, Obsidian, at A$199. Both were available for delivery and click and collect. Fitbit Charge 6 was listed and was not available, so it is not in the table.
Google's Australia post on Health Coach, still showing these figures when checked on 13 Oct 2026, says Google Health Premium is A$14.99 a month or A$149.99 a year. With-Premium totals assume membership paid each year at today's price. The 12-month totals add one year at A$149.99: Inspire 3 becomes A$327.99, and Fitbit Air becomes A$348.99. The 24-month totals add a second year at that same price: A$477.98 and A$498.98. Paying A$14.99 a month with no annual plan would be higher than A$149.99 over a year. The table uses the published annual price.
Google says some features, including the coach and parts of the health metrics view, require Premium. Fitbit's Inspire 3 page says a Premium member sees what is affecting the Sleep Score. The device-only row is the hardware price if you do not add that plan.
Thrive's 12-month total is A$660 upfront for the band and 12 months of the plan. The band is never sold on its own. You keep it. That purchase does not renew automatically.
For 24 months with Thrive, keep the band and add the next year of the plan. A$240 for the year (A$20 a month) makes A$900. Or pay A$29 a month with no lock-in. Twelve months at that rate is A$348, so the 24-month total is A$1,008. The monthly plan bills each month until you cancel.
There is also Thrive Complete at A$800 upfront for the band and 24 months of connected access. That is a separate checkout option, not the A$660 price plus a renewal.
Thrive prices include GST. Free Australia-wide shipping (usually A$14.99) under the current launch offer.
This is a use comparison, not a score. Fitbit and Google sentences stay attributed to them.
| Use | Thrive Health Band | Fitbit, as the listings described it |
|---|---|---|
| Sleep | A sleep tracker band with no screen. You wear it overnight and read the night in the Thrive by Optihealth app: duration, stages, and scores for quantity, quality, regularity and timing. Battery is up to 14 days. | Fitbit says Inspire 3 has a colour screen and up to 10 days of battery, and that a Sleep Score is part of the tracker. Fitbit says a Premium member sees what is affecting that score. JB Hi-Fi lists Touchscreen as false for the Fitbit Air colour we checked, and lists battery as up to 7 days. Google says the coach's sleep summaries need Premium. |
| Recovery | Recovery insights include an estimated time to get back to baseline, next to sleep and activity, compared with your own usual. | Fitbit says Inspire 3 has a Daily Readiness Score from stress, sleep and activity. Google says readiness-style coaching on Fitbit Air needs Google Health Premium. Those are their names for their own features. |
| Midlife health | Blood tests, medical history, medications and supplements, and meals through Food Fit sit with sleep and heart trends. Blood-pressure figures are estimates about every 10 minutes, they need calibration, recalibration is recommended every 21 days, and they are not a diagnosis. | Fitbit says Inspire 3 can log menstrual health in the Google Health app. The listing we checked did not describe a place for blood tests, a medication list or a medical history. This is not a claim that those jobs are impossible in another app. |
| Habit insight | Ask Thrive answers questions about the readings and the context you record. Thrive does not sync to Apple Health. The picture stays in the app and in My Health on the web. | Google says Health Coach, with Premium, can talk through routines and meals you log. Google says the Fitbit app is now the Google Health app. Thrive does not sync to Apple Health. |
| Water and after you buy | IP68, and also rated 5 ATM. You keep the band. The plan after 12 months is A$240 a year (A$20 a month) or A$29 a month with no lock-in. | Fitbit's Inspire 3 page describes the band as swimproof. The Fitbit Air specification list says water resistant and does not name an IP rating in the fields we checked. You keep the device. Premium, if you add it, is a separate subscription. |

Thrive supports general health and wellbeing. Blood-pressure outputs are estimates and trends, not a diagnosis. They are taken about every 10 minutes while you wear the band, they need calibration before they begin, and recalibration is recommended every 21 days.
