Is this tax-deductible?
No. The Thrive Support Program is a sponsorship paid to Optihealth Group, the company behind Thrive. It is not a donation. You'll receive a tax invoice. Businesses may be able to treat it as a business expense, so please check with your accountant. For a tax-deductible gift, give to our research partners instead.
Who receives the band?
A person living with motor neurone disease. After you pay, Optihealth confirms the place with MND Australia and the University of Queensland. Sponsors do not choose recipients and never receive names or health information.
What does A$660 cover?
One Thrive band, the Thrive app, the My Health portal and care loops for carers, family and clinicians, for the length of the program. The participant keeps the band. Nothing is shipped to the sponsor.
What does "Keep them connected" add?
Twelve more months of the app, portal and care loops after the program ends, for that same place. It can be added to a single band. It is A$588.
What does a state sponsorship cover?
A$26,400 equips 40 people in one state. Connection for a whole cohort is arranged separately after we confirm the sponsorship.
Can I sponsor on behalf of my business or club?
Yes. Add your business name and ABN at checkout for a business tax invoice. For a band drive or another amount, email hello@optihealthgroup.com.
Is Thrive a medical device?
No. Thrive supports general wellbeing. It does not diagnose, treat or monitor motor neurone disease.
